GLMUA Annual Membership Meeting

The membership meeting is coming up on April 13, 2024 beginning at 11 AM Central Time.
Greater Lake Michigan Urantia Association will be hosting their annual membership meeting, luncheon and study opportunity. Guests are welcome to observe during the business meeting and stay over for lunch and to participate in study group, which will be facilitated by GLMUA Secretary Dr. Tom Sadler.(Members enjoy a free lunch / Guests a $10 donation is appreciated).
Nominations will be accepted for the offices of President and Treasurer. During the business meeting there will be an election of new officers. Only a Full Member who is paid and in good standing may vote, be nominated for office, or be appointed as a Committee Chair.
Those accepting nominations for office have a history of involvement with GLMUA, such as actively attending events, and staying informed of all GLMUA business to be ideal candidates. By doing so, they will find themselves more qualified to lead and will be familiar with GLMUA governing standards. The office of President can be a demanding role, and a person with experience in another one of the board positions is preferred to fill this office.
President: Alice Wood is terming out and has served two full terms as President of GLMUA. She has been a wonderful President, and we all thank her for her fine service, innovative ideas, and leadership skills. She will be a tough act to follow!
Treasurer: Tamara Strumfeld has served several years as Treasurer of GLMUA. She has graciously accepted an appointment to continue in the capacity of Treasurer for 5 terms – allowing a continuity in record-keeping, banking and responsible stewardship that is difficult to maintain with rotating new officers. The GLMUA membership thank Tamara for her continuing dedication and service.

Our tentative schedule is as follows: (Central Time)
11:00 AM: GLMUA business meeting for all GLMUA members. (Guest observers are welcome)12:00 PM: Lunch will be provided (Members enjoy a free lunch / Guests a $10 donation is appreciated) 1:00 PM: Communion (Alice Wood will provide the prayer and dedication) 1:15 PM: Study Session (Dr. Tom Sadler will facilitate) 3:15 PM: Conclusion
